Nervous System Reset

Join Stephanie and Thu for an afternoon of gentle yoga, Qi gong, joint mobilization, fatigue exercises and guided rest, all designed to activate the tremoring mechanism in the body, to release stress and reset the nervous system. Together we will practice being an observer to the ways our bodies vibrate and move as our psoas muscles unwind - as if dancing to its own bespoke radio station.
You can expect gentle vibrations, a massage from the inside out, flow, unlocking fascia, release, relaxation and an experience of letting go and trusting that the body knows how to release the stress and tension it holds.

Shaking is the natural way to release tension and return the body to its normal homeostasis. It is a primal impulse to a stressful situation. Animals naturally shake to release tension after a stressful event. But humans have been socially conditioned to try to be stoic and unfazed so we resist the impulse to tremor. Which also means that stress gets trapped in our bodies and doesn't get released like other mammals. This negatively affects our physical, emotional and mental health.


Thu Nguyen is a trauma coach and embodiment facilitator at Nusqool in Kawartha Lakes. She is trained in Medical Qi Gong, TRE, Gender Equity & Reconciliation and Relational Trauma Coaching and transitioned from a 20 year career in tech where she had to pause many times due to burn out and stress related illnesses. She is passionate about holding space for people to connect with their wise self to live a full life of authenticity & purpose.
