Prenatal Wellness & Postpartum Recovery Classes with Brittany: TRE with Thu
Brittany the Doula hosts six-week prenatal wellness and postpartum recovery series designed to care for your body and soul in Lindsay, Ontario. The classes begin with a gentle yet effective 30-minute workout, followed by connecting conversations with fellow parents in the community. This isn’t just a class - it’s a space to feel stronger, seen, and supported.
This 2-hour session offers a gentle yet powerful introduction to TRE® (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises)—a somatic practice designed to help the body release deep muscular patterns of stress, tension, and trauma. You’ll learn how to safely activate your body’s natural neurogenic tremoring mechanism, a built-in way the nervous system unwinds and resets after stress.
Through guided exercises and grounded instruction, you’ll:
Understand the science behind tremoring and how it supports nervous system regulation
Learn how to self-regulate and adapt the practice to your unique needs
Explore gentle fatigue-based movements to invite tremors in the lower body
Experience a full TRE tremor session with time to rest and integrate
In the second half, we’ll transition into neurogenic dancing—a playful, music-fueled exploration where tremoring and intuitive movement meet. This is a time to let the body lead, shake out stored energy, and find creative flow. You’ll be invited to:
Let your tremors move freely through rhythm and breath
Connect with your inner child, curiosity, and body’s natural joy
Dance with your tremors, instead of just lying down with them
You’ll leave with a foundational understanding of TRE, a deeper connection to your body, and tools to continue the practice at home. No prior experience is needed—just bring your breath, an open mind, and comfy clothes.

Embodiment Circle: Feeling Safe enough to be our True Self: Curiosity with Thu
Thu is a TRE® (Tension and Trauma Release Exercises) Provider and helps people use this somatic practice to activate their neurogenic tremoring mechanism.
You will learn a simple set of exercises that trigger a natural gentle tremor response in the body to reboot our overprotective reflexes in our nervous system.
This shaking can release deep rooted tension and stress accumulated from the body. These gentle tremors reverberate from the psoas muscles, along the spine throughout the body from the sacrum to the cranium, allowing the body and nervous system to feeling at ease, grounded and safe.
This technique is used to shake off everyday circumstances of life.
The technique were created by Dr David Bercelli inspired by his work providing trauma relief workshops and designing recovery programs for organizations around the world.
Thu Nguyen is the founder at Nusqool and the host of the Embodiment Circle. She is passionate about connecting people to their hearts and creating the conditions for humans be their true selves - fully human and fully divine.

Embodiment Circle: Feeling Safe enough to be our True Self: Perspectives with Clarence
In this 60-minute workshop, we’ll explore our inner world through the lens of theatre, inspired by Erving Goffman’s idea that life is a stage and we are all performers. Through visual mapping, we’ll turn memories into characters, examining which parts of ourselves take center stage and which linger in the wings. How do we feel about the role distribution? What might a cast reshuffle look like? And how else might this metaphor open new pathways for exploration?"

Embodiment Circle: Feeling Safe enough to be our True Self: Confidence with Kathy
Learning to protect our energy and set healthy boundaries is essential for cultivating confidence and showing up as our true selves. This begins with self-awareness, recognizing what drains us and what fuels us, so we can make conscious choices about where to invest our time and energy.
Practicing mindfulness, saying no without guilt, and surrounding ourselves with supportive people help reinforce these boundaries. It's also important to release the need for external validation and trust our intuition, allowing us to express ourselves authentically without fear. When we honor our own needs, we create space for genuine connections and personal growth, empowering us to show up fully and unapologetically as who we truly are.
Kathy brings a mindful, embodied approach to event design, sales, and client relationships, ensuring every experience feels intentional and seamless. With a deep understanding of energy, flow, and human connection, she blends strategic expertise with mindfulness, whether guiding clients through high-stakes decisions, curating immersive music experiences, or leading teams with clarity and care.

Embodiment Circle: Feeling Safe enough to be our True Self: Presence with Jasjit
Mindfulness as a superpower: How strengthening our presence can help us have more courage, self-worth, and clarity
Life can be busy and stressful with our attention being pulled in so many directions. We may feel at times like we are living on “autopilot” which can have an impact on our sense of self and our interpersonal relationships. We might wonder how we can come back to feeling more present. How can we better savour moments of joy or better respond to moments of challenge or difficulty? Mindfulness can help us to learn how to be more present and self-aware so we can stay centered and remember what it is that we care about in life.
In this session we will practice mindfulness, engage in journaling and explore how we can build our self-awareness to offer us the clarity and courage we need so we can thrive in our lives, foster greater connection with others around us, and access the energy we need to create the change we wish for.

Group Intro to Neurogenic Tremoring
TRE® is a somatic practice that helps release tension from our body and helps regulate our nervous system, bringing us out of states of activation and dissociation. As a regular practice, we become less reactive and increase our capacity to be present and feel safe in our body.
As a technique it is a set of 6 exercises that release tension by evoking a self-controlled muscular shaking process in the body called neurogenic muscle tremors. This shaking originates deep in the core of the body in the psoas muscles and the tremors reverberate along the spine releasing tension from the sacrum to the cranium.
In this online workshop, Thu Nguyen, a certified TRE® Provider and Somatic Coach will gently introduce both the theory and practice of neurogenic tremoring. You will learn more about TRE, stress, trauma, the psoas muscles and polyvagal theory. Then we will do the exercises and experience the tremoring mechanism and practice self regulation. You will have a chance to ask any questions to begin your process of creating a regular practice

Nervous System Reset @ De La Sol
Join Stephanie DeBou and Thu Nguyen for this very special half day retreat aimed at rehabilitating your Nervous System. In our time together we will move the body, still the body, shake the body, massage the body and rest the body for a complete nervous system reset. The afternoon will start with gentle movement and attention to Breath (Qi Gong) followed by a stillness practice (yin yoga). From there, we will tune into the wisdom of the body and under the expert guidance of Thu we will move into TRE (Trauma and Tension Release Exercises) to access our body's own innate ability to heal trauma and tension through gentle shaking called neurogenic tremors. (You can learn more about TRE HERE.)
With the wisdom gained through our TRE experience you will be directed through self massage techniques using yoga Tune-up balls, to address some of the tension uncovered in the body. Finally we will finish with restorative yoga and a long, luxurious savasana, allowing the nervous system to effortlessly integrate the experience of the day, and allowing the body and mind to experience a sense of profound peace and well being.
The retreat is open to all levels of yoga experience. Space is limited to allow for personalized attention. Sign up early to guarantee your spot.

What Is Your Body Telling You? A workshop for values driven entrepreneurs in uncertain times.
The polycrises and uncertainties of our world continue to take their toll on us and our communities.
For values-driven entrepreneurs, the impact of these realities can make us feel overwhelmed, and out of sync with our intuition.
Yet, your body holds wisdom on what you might need to move forward with clarity and confidence in this moment.
That is where this workshop comes in.
“What is Your Body Telling You?” is a 2-hour workshop facilitated by Shilbee Dhalla-Kim (Passion Coach) and Thu Nguyen (Somatic Leadership Coach). In this workshop, you will learn how to reconnect with your inner wisdom by listening to your body signals.
What you will learn:
Somatic Practice: Practice Medical Qi Gong techniques so that you can take an embodied approach (mind-body-spirit) to tune into your wisdom and power
Passion-Based Tool: Practice listening, mirroring, and identifying the "heat" of what currently matters to you
What you may experience:
Resetting your body’s nervous system
Clarifying what you need and want in order to inspire intentional action
(Re)connect with your sense of purpose and direction
Ultimately, you will leave the workshop restoring trust in yourself.
Who will facilitate this workshop:
Shilbee Dhalla-Kim (she/her) is a passion coach who supports changemakers in clarifying their passions to better realize their current purpose. In addition to her coaching practice, she is a facilitator with Neolé Inc. and an instructor at McMaster University.
From cultivating passions to designing visioning sessions, facilitating strategic planning workshops, developing business plans, and managing social enterprise expansion, Shilbee has first-hand experience guiding purpose-driven organizations.
She uses anti-oppressive, intersectional approaches to help individuals and organizations understand their power, agency, and privileges within the context of structural, interpersonal, ideological, and internalized barriers.
She has previously served as the social enterprise manager at the Native Women’s Resource Centre of Toronto, the manager at the Centre for Social Innovation in Regent Park, and the workstream manager of Entrepreneurship Policy at what was formerly known as the Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship.
Thu Nguyen is a somatic leadership coach who helps individuals reconnect with their true selves—rediscovering their voice, values, and purpose—so they can pursue their vision while remaining authentic with inner alignment of mind, body, heart, and spirit. Thu blends powerful somatic and nervous system regulation practices (TRE, Medical Qi Gong, Meditation) and leadership coaching (PCC, CPCC CRTC). She supports clients in overcoming burnout, stress, and trauma while unlocking their capacity to embody the change they wish to see in the world.
As a BetterUp Fellow Coach, Thu has supported hundreds of founders, leaders, and executives across industries (Tech, Finance, Aerospace, Energy, Education, Social Change) in creating sustainable success by addressing both personal and professional challenges.
Thu’s own transformative journey has been shaped by both her professional challenges and personal struggles. With 20 years of experience in the tech industry and 3 tech startups of her own, she is familiar with the high pressures of working in VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environments as well as the deep grief, emotional and relational fallout of startup failures. After facing her own health crises—cancer, chronic illness, and burnouts—Thu made a shift from the tech world into coaching and facilitating where she now helps others transform adversity into opportunity, and loss into purpose.
As the founder of Nusqool, Thu creates spaces for people currently experiencing collapse to pause, learn how to listen to their body signals and feel safe enough to embody their authentic selves, transform their lives, and make a positive impact.

The Winter Qi: Reconnect with your flow within
Join Stephanie DeBou and Thu Nguyen on 2/22 for a special morning virtual embodiment workshop so help you create winter self-care practices drawing from the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Qi Gong, Yoga, and Meditation.
In TCM, the season of winter is associated with the element of water and works with the organs of the kidneys and bladder. In this two hour workshop, through movement (Yoga + Qi Gong), meditation, energy medicine and rest, we will learn how to work with the meridian (energy) lines of the kidneys and bladder so that you can shift from bracing against winter to embracing the invitations of winter.
The water element in our bodies is said to hold our deepest desires and unexpressed emotions, and carries with it a potent charge for transformation in our lives. Balancing the element of water in the body helps us to move from a frozen, fearful state, to a more fluid, calm, place of courage. When water is flowing freely, it knows no obstacles, no barriers. When it meets resistance, it simply carves a new path.
What to expect:
You will tap, trace, massage, stretch, move, meditate as you open and energize your channels for the flow of water in your body, bladder and kidney meridians, the organs associated with winter.
You will learn where these energy channels are located in the body and how to move stagnant energy into more flow. You will discover postures and breath that optimize the flow of these meridians and associated organs.
You will explore your relationship with the season of winter and invited to try on new perspectives.
You will be introduced to the emotional spectrum associated with the season of winter which can span Fear and Courage and how physical movements could support the movements and shifts in emotions like dissolving fear.
You will add to your winter self-care toolkit you can use for the rest of the season.
Come dressed comfortably ready for movement and stillness. A yoga mat and space to move, sit and/or lie down is helpful, as are layers. Have a journal and pen ready for journaling and capturing any mind blowing insights! :)
About Thu Nguyen & Stephanie DeBou
We started collaborating 3 years ago in a series called The Embodiment Circle - Feeling safe enough to be your true self and have continued to collaborate on in-person Nervous System Reset workshops at De La Sol in Hamilton (next one is March 9!) and Autumn Equinox Retreats at Nusqool. We love weaving and sharing our multidisciplinary embodiment practices and creating safe spaces for the healing and integration of our wholeness and promote a deep sense of connection, clarity and peace from within.
Stephanie Debou, now a full time Yoga and Meditation Teacher, is a former Advertising Executive and Entrepreneur of 15+ years. Her own personal Yoga journey spans a much larger time frame over decades and several countries, but it wasn't until 2017 that she finally gave up her corporate high heels, board rooms and ergonomic chairs in favour of bare feet, yoga mats and meditative cushions. Stephanie has received 500 hours of Formal Training in Yoga and Meditation, and hundreds more as she pursued her studies that lead her into additional training, retreats and workshops for Restorative Yoga, Pre and Post Natal Yoga, Functional Movement, Rope Wall, and Barre. She has also recently completed her Holistic Doula training. It was in her latest training however, to become a Fertility Yoga Specialist, that she encountered the wisdom of Energy Medicine under a Master Teacher. It was the perfect compliment to her Yin yoga and more meditative practices, helping her dive deeper into the Subtle Body, Energetics, and our connection to Self and Spirit. Now her classes are a unique combination of her varied background, all infused with the healing effects of quite literally "tapping" into our energy bodies. Stephanie teaches yoga and meditation to all levels, in studio, in private, online, on retreat, and in corporate settings. Stephanie's unique blend of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Energy Medicine, Yoga and Meditation weave together in classes that are thoughtfully crafted, elegantly and compassionately delivered, and profoundly transformative.
Thu Nguyen, now a full time inner transformation leadership and somatic coach, is a former tech entrepreneur and CEO of several startups. She spent the earlier part of her life trying to fit in with the "winning gender" in patriarchy as a tom boy, and one of the few female computer engineers in her class, tech jobs in silicon valley and as a founder and completely lost her true self. Her divine feminine parts started to fight back and guide her through a journey of cancer, diabetes, asthma and more. She looks at these physical illnesses as gifts that have guided her to meet mentors, guides, teachers in many wisdom traditions to bring her back to her body and authentic self. She is the founder of Nusqool, a space where people can feel safe enough to be their true self and find their authentic leadership style.

22 Day Wu Ji Challenge
Wu Ji is a classical standing meditation posture and foundation for Tai Chi and Qi Gong. It means standing in the void or literally doing nothing - emptiness in any movement, thought or activity. Or in my own interpretation, standing like a tree - an ultimate state of relaxation.
When I first learned the practice, my teacher said to practice standing 1 min for 7 days, then 2 min for 7 days, then 3 min, etc. until I got to 20 min. And once I skip a day, say on the second week, just restart with 2 min again for the next 7 days. This was a year long endeavour for me and was so worth while so I wanted to extend this practice out to anybody that wants to do this too, for 22 days as a group, we would be at 3 min of standing a day should we make it through and do it together.
There’s many resources online that describe Wuji and here’s one of them: https://forevertaichi.com/2017/02/09/wuji-wu-chi-always/
So if you want to join along, the (free) challenge will start Sat Feb 1 and I’ll open the zoom for just 5 min - no need to video or to talk. We’ll just stand in the void and do nothing together for 1 min a day for 7 days, then 2 min a day for 7 days, then 3 min a day for 7 days, then wrap up with 4 min a day and decide if we should keep going. You can also sign up and never show up to the zoom as a way to start your own practice too.
Looking forward to what emerges from standing in the void - together.
